You forgot to mention that if you want to have a really GREEN Christmas that you shouldn't celebrate it at all.  Authentic Christmas trees, decorative lights, travels to meet family, wrapping paper, tons of food/meat...all are a drag on the environment.  Next time at least suggest recycling wrapping paper, using a "fake" tree, not hanging lights or getting the more efficient led lights, carpooling or planning visits where families don't have to travel from one side of town (or the country) to another.
